Before the creation of Daigan D.A., Dr. Harriman Tempest and Dr. Matsuda, highly noted space explorers and parents of the original Daigan Ladies, stumbled into a forbidden sector within the boundaries of the Terran Perimeter Region. There, a remote unknown planet exists.
This uncharted world is powered by a strange alien energy source looking much like a strange crystal that yields tremendous amount of energy best describe as combinations of all types of energy source found on Earth.
Another noted discovery made by both space explorers are the “sentient” characteristics of the said alien energy.
They named the planet Digan in honor of the marooned ship where they were passengers. Their findings are very controversial especially in those times, and such findings rendered the lives of the two explorers in jeopardy.
Because of this, both galactic scientists lived secluded lives, away from the populace. They managed to “tame” and control the said “sentient” alien energy and extract some power from it. (Note: the said power extracted is equivalent to that used by the most powerful Nuclear Power plant in the present.)
Soon, dynasties of alien invaders try to conquer planet Earth and its galactic territories. The sovereign planets of Earth are at stake and the military could barely cope up with the problem.
In this situation, Both Dr. Tempest and Dr. Matsuda created a powerful super robot they called “Daigan” D.A. And they tried to use the Digan Crystals, as it’s main power source..
But they soon found out that the “sentient” power source has a taste in “women”. And they found out to their dismay, that both their teenaged daughters had become quite “attached” to it.
They have no choice and still some further remodeling, Daigan D.A. rockets out to space, piloted by their darling beautiful daughters. The initial battle was a success…
Not only did the enemy aliens and their fleet was destroyed, but also the war that supposed to take the lives of countless humans, was brought to the very doorsteps of the conquering enemy.
Daigan D.A and its “lady pilots” are a smash hit…
The human race had a new champion looking over their safety.

Eliza Tempest- American "Daigan Lady"

Dr, Eliza Tempest is the only daughter of the renowned space explorer Dr. Harriman Tempest.
Standing five foot seven, slim gorgeous and a natural blonde, she is extremely dedicated and right down bookish, Eliza was a highly trained “ Daigan Lady”
Famous in her piloting the Daigan Digan cybernaut through victories; the death of her father from numerous legal harassments made by the “Moon base Omega” group hardens her still.
She became bitter and aimed to be a cold, calculating Earth Defense Commander to the letter.
This thoroughly out-and-out attitude disturbs her personal and sex life, even her relationship with her fellow Daigan lady friend Keiko, is sometimes on the rocks.
She is not successful in her love life and she blames these thoroughly at the “Moon base Omega group.”
Her bitchiness irritates most of the “Moon base Omega” personnel, but an admirer named Lieutenant Jake Ramrod- a famous Earth defense pilot and a celebrity in his own right, eyes her more of a lovely challenge than a bitchy loveless lady.

But behind her resilient, hawk-like attitudes, Dr. Eliza Tempest had her soft spot. She cares deeply for those victims of alien battles, even though they came from her much-hated “Moon base Omega Group.”

With a devil-may-care attitude, topped with a gorgeously mysterious body, Keiko Matsuda won the admiration of the men of “Moon base Omega.”
It was in her 17 year old where she got the dragon tattoo on her back that she is now famous for.
Keiko was a famous Daigan Lady who piloted the giant Digan Cybernaut to many victories.
She and her friend, Eliza Tempest was a team that made them both, Earth defense celebrities.
Because of this, showers of fan mails littered their personal lives. Unlike the reclusive Eliza, Keiko faced the great multitude in a shinning outlook of a super star. She even became a young fashion model and sexy actress.
Keiko became an instant hit, a hot-blooded male fantasy so to speak. She was everybody’s super hero woman who can save you and make love to you after wards. She had many suitors and a line of admirers. She was this hot Earth defense girl whose head is always in the clouds, and her love life is a ball.
But them, the dark clouds came down and the “Moon base Omega” group sequestered Daigan D.A. and their “Sanctuary base.” But this has not stopped Keiko from being sexy and glamorous…No sir, even in the face of such crisis.

(Camp V5 is an organization formed by anime enthusiasts who is part of the collective group that petitioned for the return of Voltes V to Philippine Television.As every Filipino knows, Voltes V was shown in the Philippines in the late seventies. But with only around five episodes left to complete the series, then President Marcos banned this and other super robot anime. A lot has been said about the reasons why such a harsh act was done to this day. But after twenty long years, Voltes V came back to the airwaves (this was last 1999), to the delight of both today's younger generation and the Martial Law kids. To all of us, an excellent reason to rush home on a Friday night and watch primetime TV with the family!)

O.K. This is what a popular Voltes V fan group said in their website.
Camp V 5 is perhaps undoubtedly Voltes V’s premier group in the Philippines.
Being a fan myself, I joined in their Yahoo group, hoping to make friends and associate myself with them, after all were all Voltes V fans.
At first, there’s a fellow who announced a sight showing off a so-called Voltes V in 3D (The work is very much “boxey” looking but hey, its Voltes V.)
Then there’s a nice member who offers me some kind of graphic down load that I can use. As a friendly gesture, I told this group about my very own super robot story “Daigan D.A.”
Suddenly, here comes someone who calls himself “meowok”. He reads my message and replied in such a manner: “Turn around so I can hit you on the head!”

As natural as the sun shines in the east, I was irritated by such harsh insult.
Perhaps it’s some kind of jest for this bastard to affront his fellow member as some kind of camaraderie.
So, I stop to think, “Is this Camp V 5 a TRUE haven for Voltes V fans…or was it just a place for rich slobs to hang around and tickle their anuses.”

I’m a Voltes V fan; I know the follies of the characters, the inanity of how the story goes, but I’m an avid fan and I live up to that description!

The last thing I need is a blatant remark from some one who does not even had the guts to show his real name!

I decided to leave this group but before I did, I told meowok “before he can hit me over the head, he should take his stupid Voltes V toys and shove it in his smelly rich guy’s ass or in his mother’s stinking c__t…Son of a f___ing ho___y bitch!”

I left the Yahoo Group, with regrets as to why joining it in the first place.
Sure there are nice members, but “meowok’s insulting remark out weights it all.
After I’ve left, I thought: “You can be a fan of any thing you want,(Voltes V, Voltron, Transformers, Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Disneys et all.) even without joining any group whose only thing it’s good at is to insult you.”

The closure of the first “Daigan Sanctuary” defense fortress by “Moon base Omega”, forced the original “Daigan Ladies” to resolve to continue their Earth Defense Missions in a more covertly strategy.

Dr. Eliza Tempest and Lieut. Keiko Matsuda sneak behind Omega security measures and took back the Daigan cybernaut piece by piece and reassembled it inside a new Daigan base, appositely called “The Hidden Sanctuary”.

Constructed mostly underground to avoid detection,
“The Hidden Sanctuary” has all the sophisticated computerized technology of the sequestered Sanctuary base, It is a space defense fortress, a medical center, training center, research center and a girls’ dormitory in one.

“The Hidden Sanctuary” proudly boasts its utilizing of the most powerful “Energy Strike Shield” ever created; a defense barrier powered by the Digan Light Crystal Beam that when energize, it also releases a formidable barrage of energy beams that first strike at a charging aggressor before it touches the surface of the energy barrier.

“The Hidden Sanctuary” was also provided with Auto-blaster units, powerful enough to bore holes on incoming enemy dreadnaughts. It’s also fitted with shock absorbing anti-gravity components if it receives a “ground zero” blow from an adversary.

But under the pressures from Moon base Omega: The “Hidden Sanctuary” and its crew choose to “hide” and steer clear of any confrontations. That’s why the defense fortress is en suited with powerful hydraulic lifters that automatically “sinks” the whole fortress underground at the first sign of any mecha-units from Moon base Omega.

Weapons of the Daigan D.A. Super Robot System.

The Daigan D.A. super storm cybernaut is equipt with an arsenal of deadly energy releasing devices that help it defend the planet Earth and all its citizens. These are as follows:

1.Digan Laser Rain –Digan D.A.’s chest opens and releases a storm of laser rain that pelts an enemy alien with destruction.

2.Digan Ultra Missiles – A barrage of thermonuclear missiles, deployed from Daigan D.A’s chest.

3.Digan Wave Beam– A powerful, orange colored energy beam that emits out from Daigan D.A.’s wings. Toasts an enemy alien to crisp.

4.Digan Shadow Projection– The Daigan D.A. Cybernaut can cover itself in “Cloack Mode” to surprise enemy aliens. In addition, Daigan D.A. can emit an illusory projection of a “duplicate image” to confuse enemy aliens.

5.Digan Volley Blast– The Daigan D.A. retracts its hands into its arm. These robotic arms serve as giant Ion cannons that can spew out powerful energy blasts, enough to destroy enemy alien battle ships.

6.Digan Battle Sai– Patterned from an ancient oriental weapon, the “Digan Battle Sais” were deployed from either the sides of Daigan D.A.’s arms. These weapons can be used either as defense or offense arms.

7.Diganinata– Again, patterned from an ancient weapon, the Diganinata is a sharp, cylindrical battle staff that can be twirled and launched from the Super Cybernaut’s hands. This weapon can dice alien monsters to pieces.

8.Digan Bladers– A set of extremely sharp, cutting projectiles launched from the side of Daigan D.A.’s legs. These card-like razor projectiles can cut through the most hardened alien starship armors.

9.Digan Blast Screen– The Daigan D.A. cybernaut can harness and release powerful force of deadly energy blasts. If overwhelmed by alien assault units, tha Daigan D.A. mecha can unleash this energy blast, without harming itself.

10.Digan Berserk Ball– The Coup de grace of the Daigan D.A. Cybernaut. The great machine can double itself into a ball and charge at the enemy with incredible speed. Like an energy-charged cannon ball, the Daigan D.A. can bore hole at an advancing alien star fleet.

THE HIDDEN SANCTUARY.

1. Elisa Tempest (30) - A former “Daigan Lady’ specializing in “Robotic Defense Tactics” .
The death of her father shocked her but she tried to clam up her emotions by being serious, dedicated and playing the role of a damn, best Earth Defense Coordinator to the letter. Her punctual by the book- attitude made her irritable, demanding and ever zealous in some situations. She was affected by a mysterious alien power from the samples brought by her father in his last mission. This so called Digan Power is sentient and was attracted to her that it made love to her litterally. Thus enabling her to operate the mysterious Storm Super robot.

2.Keiko Matsuda (27)

- Glamorous, care free, a confident risk taker. This former “Daigan lady” turned sexy actress and fashion model has a sunny, funny disposition of an inquisitive child. But underneath her devil-may-care attitude, Keiko is a resolute soldier and a cunning warrior who fought against a variety of alien invaders. She had a large dragon “Tattoo” on her back that earned her the nickname “Dragon Lady”. Like her friend Dr. Eliza Tempest, Keiko was affected by a strange, enigmatic and sentient, alien energy dubbed as the Digan Power. She was sexually caressed by this energy that now gave her access to the might of the mysterious Daigan D.A. cybernaut.

3. Victoria Mendez (20)

A newly grad Earth Defense engineer straight from Sao Paolo Brazil. Earning awards and merits in the field of energy based, optic-projectile system and Lightwave Technology for Para computer Cybernaut research, Victoria is still an amateur regarding occupying a defense post. She has one flaw…Victoria had lesbian tendencies.

4. Kreona Volba (20)

The defeat of the “Zenobians” against the forces of the earth defense legion, automatically turns the surviving Zenobian warriors into “greatful allies”: A kind of gratitude vow embedded into the Zenobian culture. Kreona is a newly grad “Zenobian” technician specializing in “Thermo nuclear implosion” extract for power plant conversion. But she seems to be more interested in beautifying her companions than earth defense scientific work.

5. Lt. Pia Locsin (20)

A newly graduate Earth Defense Military Officer. (Space defense academy Philippine chapter) Pia is assigned to lead the Phantom space fighters that guards “The Hidden Sanctuary”.

She maybe a military academy graduate, but pia is seemed to be absorbed in reading super hero comics, collecting action figures, playing online rpg games and joining cosplay conventions.

Ana Matsuda (17) - As care free and liberated as her Aunt Keiko…She is also wild, uninhibited and had a free for all attitude. Unknowingly, she posses the same mysterious energy essence just like her Aunt. She undergoes sexual intercourse with this mysterious energy that turned her into an official "Daigan Lady".

Digi Matsuda (17)- The opposite of Ana. She is reserved, shy and a bit old fashioned-like. She is also very opinionated and does not approve of the sexy, scanty Daigan Lady uniform.Unknowingly, she posses the same mysterious energy essence just like her Aunt. She undergoes sexual intercourse with this mysterious energy that turned her into an official "Daigan Lady".

Of Voltes V and Tenchi Muyo - The Story of Daigan D.A.

What do you think will happen if you cross a “Voltes V” – like super robot epic and a raunchy bunch of “Tenchi Muyo”-like girls?

That’s what I did to my very own super robot story titled “Daigan D.A.”

It’s an epic adventure about super robots, sexy babes, evil monsters, mysterious energy beings, space crafts and zany antics.
Set in the advance world of space and robotic technology,
Daigan D.A. highlights the exploits of two sexy Daigan pilots called as “Daigan Ladies” and their unbeatable super robot Daigan D.A.

The story tells of Daigan D.A. a champion super robot and Earth Defender who fought against hordes after hordes of alien armadas.

Numerous alien invader fleet and monstrous evil empires fell before the victorious form of the super robot.

People would cheer, "Nothing can stand against Daigan D.A. The champion of the world… "

But suddenly, a new threat came marching in and put “Daigan D.A.” and the “Daigan Ladies” out of commission.

The new Earth defense group called “The Moon Base Omega” came and took over what was once, Daigan D.A’s turf!

Moon Base Omega is a multi-task Earth defense group equipt with massive starships, sleek fighters, particle cannons and cool mechs. The new group boast of being more efficient and had too many heartrob looking male personels.

Daigan D.A and its defense fortress called “The Sanctuary” was “moth balled”.

Worst, the two “Daigan Ladies” were out of job and was slapped with tons of manufactured cases enough to shove them out of the Earth Defense lime light!

But that doesn’t stop the “Daigan Ladies”;

After 10 years the Moon Base Omega had put the lid on the “Daigan D.A” group, But, the “Daigan Ladies” secretly smuggled the Daigan Cybernaut piece by piece with its “mysterious energy source”.

They reassembled a new “Hidden” Sanctuary,

just before a new horrible alien fleet tries to invade the Earth.

“Moon base Omega” could barely cope up with the war machines of the new alien invaders.

Suddenly, from an unknown source, “Daigan D.A.” suddenly appeared to save the day.

Instead of a thankyou note, Daigan D.A. and the “Daigan Ladies” were hunted down by the elite, space fighters from Moon Base Omega.

This is the start of my own super robot epic, “Daigan D.A.” funny, yet exciting.

I grew up in the midst of the Super Robot Era,
Mazinger Z, Daimos, Danguard Ace, Balatack, Mekanda, UFO Grandaizer,
then later, Voltron, Laserion, Bio man and the Transformers.

But of all these super robots, I am an avid fan of VOLTES V.

The animes of today are a lot bit different genre.

The shows are more populated by skinny, long legged girls in mini skirts, and effeminate looking male(?) characters, who seem to melt the hearts and logic of the female characters.

I do not like this kind of pathetic crap.

Even the so called "new generation" robot shows like "Macross", "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and the different "Gundam" series just wont do.

This so-called new reality in robotic stories seemed so lame.

I missed the time of the Super Robots, manned by Kung-Fuic bodied male characters and sexy ninja like female characters.

Because of this, I created DAIGAN D.A.

My very own super robot story thats based from the old genre of super robot shows.

Or I might say, the return to the more exciting old ways,
where giant, armored robots, patterned to that of U.S. super heroes, with their glossy colored armors of Red, White, Blue and Yellows. Battling against almost overwhelming foes from supposed inter planetary regions.

The clash of these steel titans seem larger than life to me.

With super psedo-scientific powers and a little touch of mild sexiness known to any Japanimation enthusiast that I think, had something to do with the raging hormones of adolecent fans of these kind of stories.

Daigan D.A. focus more on the struggles of the crew of the Earth Defense Fortress called, "The Hidden Sanctuary" (All of them are females) and the constant harrassment they undergo under the group known as "Moon Base Omega", a newly formed Lunar based, Earth defense station. (Manned mostly of male characters)

The mood of the story is of light hearted humor, as novice "Sanctuary" members try to struggle against the pressure of their duties and physical urges.

A bit twist from the occassionally serious VOLTES V.

And because of the "battle of the sexes format" of characters, Daigan D.A. commands an ensemble of funny, sexy and annoying characters.
